JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs that assure a safe and secure environment for the population within the facility(ies). Directs the security staff, set and administer security policies and work with the Facilities Manager to provide goals and performance objectives for the security staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
  • Respond to routine and/or non-routine inquiries; initiate telephone calls to gather or provide information.
  • Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions to resolve reconciling items and/or technical accounting issues.
  • Design, implement, and supervise all security programs / systems relating to the property.
  • Select contract services, negotiate vendor service agreements and monitor day-to-day vendor performance to assure full compliance with standards established within the service agreement.
  • Assure prompt, positive responses to requests from building tenants.
  • Gather, analyze and report statistical data providing accurate and current assessment of security objectives.
  • Assist the Property or Facility Manager in the preparation of the annual budget for the security department and monitor actual performance to ensure that it meets or exceeds set budget.
  • Responsible for on-the-job training and developments programs for subordinates and trainees, working with the Property Manager and/or Facilities Manager.
  • Attend and participate in outside or in-house activities, meetings, organizations, regulatory agencies, etc., as approved or directed by the Property Manager, Owner's Representative or Account Executive.


SKILLS , EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in Security/Law Enforcement
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a management capacity - Effective written and oral communication
  • Ability to assist subordinate personnel and achieve cooperation with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to meet physical standards
  • Ability to work in high stress environment and handle emergency situations
  • First aid / CPR certification preferred.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
