An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding administrative professional to manage our support team in New York.


Working amongst a team of dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative engineering professionals, this role will see you leading a local team of Administrative Coordinators, the go-to team for tying up loose ends and keeping things running smoothly, which allows our technical teams to focus on their specialties. When our newest museum or net zero energy building opens up, you'll know that you had a role in bringing that project to life. Utilizing exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, you will confidently learn to anticipate what your team needs next. Creativity and an eye for detail will serve you well in this engaging position.


What will I be doing?

  • Leading a local team of Administrative Coordinators who provide all-around administrative support to hybrid employee teams including some formatting and modifying documents, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Researching state licensing requirements and assisting engineers with applications and renewals
  • Liaising with a variety of teams including IT, HR, Finance and Marketing to collaborate and coordinate operations, as well as covering for other Administrative Coordinators when they are on leave
  • Supporting and inducting new team members, and guiding employees to Buro Happold programs and resources
  • Managing and coordinating business travel arrangements


What will I bring to the role?

  • Positive attitude with leadership experience
  • Highly organised and natural planner
  • Great communication skills across email, instant message, in person, and on video and phone calls
  • Great computer skills including; Word, Excel, MS365, SharePoint, and experience of using spreadsheets and databases. More importantly, skill in researching tools to fill any knowledge gaps
  • A strong foundation of administrative/office experience preferred
