Job description

Job Description: A leading private equity and private debt firm with approximately $6BN under management is looking to add a Senior Associate, Financial Due Diligence & Valuations to their team. The individual will become an integral member of the finance team and will have significant exposure to leadership and the ability to have a direct impact on the performance of our fund. The role will work closely with our Deal Teams to evaluate middle market private equity and credit investment opportunities across industries and will also work on the valuations of our investments quarterly.


Job roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and synthesize target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company
  • Interface with Deal Teams, the Investment Committee and senior executives of target companies and existing portfolio companies
  • Create and design tailored reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings and indebtedness considerations
  • Analyze financial and operational performance of existing portfolio companies and facilitate the quarterly valuations process


Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years professional experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm or reputable mid-size firm such as RSM or Grant Thornton.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Financial Due Diligence working on live deals
  • Advanced to Expert proficiency level in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
  • CPA License
