The Sr. Sovereign Analyst will monitor developments for major rates/FX markets and provide independent analysis to a range of audiences including analysts, Portfolio Managers, clients and prospective clients. Additional responsibilities include: Analyze developments (economic, monetary, political) for major rates/FX markets and summarize/opine on market movers/trends. Propose rates and FX trade/positioning recommendations; develop views on overall positioning and duration for global (non-US) fixed-income portfolios. Provide independent analysis of rates/FX trends; write-up and present analysis clearly and concisely to a range of audiences ranging from analysts to PMs to clients and to prospects. Improve Sovereign Research Team's capabilities for tracking fundamental fair value in rates (ability to value FX a plus). Write updates synthesizing ACI house views on major market developments (economic/political/monetary) for a variety of internal/external audiences. Summarize ACI positioning/synthesize group views on weekly basis (following rates meeting) for department dissemination. Manage/improve fundamental fair value models. Requirements: 5+ years of professional experience of sovereign credit focused economic/financial analysis. Ability to handle large data sets. Very strong verbal and written communication skills. Shown ability to work in teams. Advanced degree in International Finance/Economic policy helpful.
