Overview:
Provide human resources support throughout employee's life cycle such as onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data maintenance. Consistently apply human resources policies and practices. Act as first point of contact to address employee concerns.
This role is temporary with the possibility of going permanent
Additional Position Information:
Reports to:Manager, People Operations
Supervises:Individual Contributor
Responsibilities:
First point of contact for employees in helping to resolve employee concerns regarding frequently asked questions relative to policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. Answers inquiries in a timely fashion.
Provide onboarding support for new hires and will often work alongside other Total Rewards & People Operations team members as well as other HR teams, including Talent Acquisition & Internal Mobility, Talent Development & Learning and Strategic Talent Partners.
Responsible for issuing and tracking onboarding and off-boarding documents for the employees, including background checks, I-9 verifications, equipment/IT provisioning, seating requests, order new hire welcome kit & employee records
Updates and maintains HR information in HRIS system, including new hire transactions, salary changes, reporting line changes, title changes, etc.
Responsible for voluntary termination process and assist with involuntary termination process including severance letter generation, etc.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records and documentation while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
Responsible for processing department invoices through LLS's procurement system - Coupa
Responds to unemployment compensation information requests/forms.
Partner with Payroll to assist employees with timecard issues. Generate various time and attendance and overtime reports.
Maintain and update headcount position control file.
Assist in HR department compliance audits as necessary.
Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
Perform other related Total Reward and People Operations team duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR or equivalent education and experience.
2+ years related experience in the HR field.
Position Requirements:
Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft office and internet applications
Maintain high degree of confidentiality
