POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for planning, ordering and scheduling direct raw materials and consumables through SAP for the BMS Syracuse site. This role will work closely with the site procurement team to ensure purchasing execution is aligned with production demands.

Duties/Responsibilities:

This role will include the following duties as assigned individually, based on needs of the team:

* Plan and monitor direct raw material and consumable inventory levels in SAP, including execution of reports and analysis/interpretation of data (i.e. expiry, slow moving, etc.).
* .Monitor inventory coverage and delivery timing with high attention to detail. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and analyze consumption of materials and ensure accurate SAP master data (safety stock, lead time, etc.). As needed; negotiate deliveries with suppliers to mitigate inventory coverage concerns.
* Accountable for master data maintenance and new SAP number requests as needed to support the business.
* Manage disposal order process for materials that are intended for disposal/destruction.
* Manage third party storage inventory levels, balancing on-site levels to ensure sufficient real-time inventory coverage.
* Oversee site material transfers between SYR and other BMS Sites/CMO.
* Assist with inventory analysis and conduct quarterly review of obsolete inventory for finance.
* Oversee and approve material requests in support of process studies and validation, etc.
* Ensure purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP are placed on-time and accurate.
* Create, release, and monitor process orders. Support process order requests, communicating needed information to relevant cross-functional teams in support of continuous manufacturing.
* Use SAP to process and maintain purchase orders with suppliers, including order confirmations, change requests, expedites and delivery analysis.
* Work with suppliers to monitor open order reports, review and resolve invoice issues. Communicate changes in delivery, pricing, material constraints etc to end user.
* Support vendor return transactions.
* Maintaining high level of SAP data accuracy through monitoring and utilization of tools, including SAP, Excel, Tableau.
* Support site project teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc:

Knowledgeable of supply chain planning and procurement concepts as it relates to biotechnology manufacturing in a GMP environment. Strong SAP and data analysis skills required, including use of Microsoft Office and Tableau tools. Strong customer service background and ability to successfully interface with external suppliers.

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:

4 Year degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field, or minimum 5 years of work experience. Minimum 2 years experience required in supply chain field such as planning and/or procurement, including purchasing and interfacing with external suppliers. Professional (APICS) certification is desirable.

Travel: This position requires up to 5% of travel.
