Aerotek is supporting a lightweight pharmaceutical distributor with long term opportunities currently hiring for sorters in the Syracuse area.

**Description:**

MUST HAVES

- Warehouse experience

- Ability to lift 15 lbs

- Ability to stand, bend reach for 8 hours

SUMMARY

- Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers

TYPICAL DAY

- Sorting through inbound freight

- Separating product into multiple bins according to work orders and color coding

- Use manual pallet jack to put product into refrigerator or freezer

- Will not be in super cold temps for longer than 5 mins, can bring/wear own jacket if needed

- Occasionally will be "merchandising shelves" with product

- Own steel toes

- Ability to stand, end reach for 8 hours

- Ability to lift 15 lbs

- 6 months exp working in a warehouse

- Ability to read/write/speak English

- Ability to work in a fast paces envt

EDUCATION

- HS Diploma or GED
