Job description
The Renal team of the Cardiovascular and Renal Therapeutic Focus Area conducts studies in support of drug discovery and development for Renal indications. We are seeking a multifaceted individual to join our team. The responsibilities for the scientist in this position would include: identifying novel targets and technologies to support renal indications, independent planning and execution of complex in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro experiments, documentation of experimental procedures and results, timely communication, and effective presentation of the results in a variety of team settings, collaboration with various teams across the company, responsible for authoring documentation such as journal articles, patent applications, regulatory documents, etc.
A Day in the Life of this position may look like:
- Identifying novel targets and technologies to support renal indications, and designing experiments to validate them
- Independent planning and execution of complex in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro experiments
- Accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Timely communication, and effective presentation of the results in a variety of team settings
- Responsible for authoring documentation such as journal articles, patent applications, regulatory documents, etc
- Effective collaboration with various teams across the company
- Managing Research Associates

THIS POSITION REQUIRES:
A minimum of a PhD and 3+ years of Postdoctoral experience.
MUST HAVES:
- Knowledge of renal biology
- Familiarity and working with rodent or large animal models of kidney diseases
- Experience and knowledge of various biochemical, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques
- The ability to independently design, perform studies and analyze the results
- Familiarity with sample collection (blood and tissue) and administration of compounds (via s.c/i.p/i.v routes)
WOULD BE HELPFUL:
- Experience working with kidney organoid system is
- Experience in rodent kidney histology staining, imaging, and histopathology evaluation
- Experience in immunological and genetic renal diseases
- Experience working with genetic and genomic datasets
