Dates: June 6, 2022 through August 12, 2022
Length of Program: 10 weeks (40-hour work week)
Location: Valhalla, NY
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the multi-faceted aspects of solar project development. Research, track, and evaluate new markets for Community Solar opportunities throughout the U.S.
• Support the team with targeted landowner engagement, direct mail campaigns, and prospect outreach
• Gather and analyze customer subscription requirements and determine customer value proposition
• Keep abreast and summarize legislative and regulatory rules in emerging markets
• Use corporate financial models/proformas to evaluate project opportunities
• Use publicly available sources and online tools for research
Qualifications:
• Preferred Academic Discipline(s): Finance, Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering
• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution
• Interest in renewables. Prior internship in the renewable field preferred
• Ability to commute to our Valhalla, NY office
• Exceptionally organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work on more than one project at a time
• Good computer skills, particularly Excel
• Experience performing research using tools other than Google
• Outgoing personality, self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills
