Job description
The successful candidate will report directly into the Co-Heads of Markets Operations and Operations Technology and over see an Organisation of ~ 200 employees. The candidate will be responsible for continuing to strengthen the experience within the teams whilst enhancing risk and control frameworks, aligning to company Operations and Technology strategy and vision.
The Global Head will deliver our Operations strategy, driving our target operating model, with a proactive People agenda, ensuring a robust control environment, enhancing service capabilities, and simplifying/ transforming platforms to build appropriate scale.
The Global Head will have accountability for daily supervisory risk and service oversight of the Organisation, ensuring that the objectives of Operations, the Business and our Clients are executed to a high standard and in full accordance with regulatory and control requirements.
Organizational Oversight:
Leading the Organisation to maintain a culture and environment where processes, risks and controls are continually monitored, and potential risks escalated on a timely basis as well as acting as a senior point of escalation
Ensuring the infrastructure and tools are in place to effectively manage risk, and service our clients to a high standard
Stakeholder Engagement:
Senior Asset Servicing partner for the front to back Operations groups across internal and external stakeholders
Continued engagement and face off with a range of senior Business, Technology and Operations partners
Supporting and partnering with the Business to facilitate a growing and expanding client base / operational offering
Engaging in client discussions & relationship management activities as required to support the Business
People Agenda:
Implementing a successful People and Engagement strategy to help attract, develop, retain and recognize a diverse and talented global workforce
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment
Engaging with and leading our People. Developing effective and diverse teams across a global footprint

Transformation:
Active engagement and thought leadership in the development and implementation of multi-year operations and Technology strategy for Asset Servicing Operations, in partnership with the Business
Leading the Organization to deliver vs goals to meet the Target Operating Model
Leading the global Organisation to simplify, improve and measure processes by delivering enhancements to the control environment, and the customer journey with input to design techniques and digital automation
Driving and supporting the delivery of strategic platform re-engineering initiatives, with conscious intent to standardize and industrial flow, reducing manual touch points and aligning tech delivery vs. business goal and wallet share optimization
Driving the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve STP rates and productivity, including the use of robotics, workflow and other innovative re-engineering techniques
Identify opportunities for Digitization, Automation and Straight Through Processing (STP) focusing on User Experience.
Managing budgets and headcount plans in order to meet targets
Qualifications and Skills:
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience preferred
15years + Extensive experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions preferred
SME knowledge in Asset Servicing required
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology
Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise
Strong risk management and control mindset
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
