You'll be doing:

  • A Financial Accountant is responsible for running the accounting and financial activities for Premier Research.
  • Producing monthly management accounts according to US GAAP.
  • Providing transactional detail to 'in country accountants' to produce their local statutory accounts.
  • Taking care of the accounting aspects of several legal entities within Premier Research Group.
  • Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports
  • Tax compliance
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
  • Applies accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including the production of journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Performs financial calculations to support financial transactions relating to cash, pre- payments, accruals, fixed assets, costs and others when needed.
  • Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
  • Examining financial records to check for accuracy
  • Managing and training when necessary
  • Supports to Finance Manager for central tasks when applicable
  • Participates in corporate initiatives and actions that ensure the continued success of the company

You'll need:

  • A degree and experience in the financial field, a recognised professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) would be desirable.
  • Prior experience using computerized information systems preferred.
  • Works with internal and external customers/vendors to meet project specific goals.
  • Experience in dealing with local tax authorities.
  • 2-5 years of related experience.
