The POWER of a CAREER! Northpointe Bank is seeking a detail oriented, customer service minded individual to join our Retail Lending Team in Charlotte, North Carolina as a Loan Coordinator. The Retail Loan Coordinator is responsible for processing conforming mortgage loans. Which includes: ordering all necessary documents for each file (i.e., appraisals, surveys, title work, payoffs, etc.); preparing the loan file for the underwriter to issue a clear to close. Organize and maintain data integrity within the mortgage 1003 and imaging system. Communicate with all operations staff, LOA's and LO's with any additional information needed in order to move the file to closing.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and audit initial loan submission from Loan officers, by sorting the loan documents and filing them in the appropriate spots within the imaging system.
  • Order and prepare any required documents necessary for the loan to close in compliance.
  • Work with third party vendors to obtain necessary documents for the loan file.
  • Update and maintain an update GFE, re-disclosing when a change circumstance arises; (i.e. additional inspections, credit supplements, pricing changes, loan changes etc.).- Prepare the changed Circumstance form to be submitted to centralized disclosures to issue the GFE.
  • Manage a working pipeline, meeting the target close dates indicated by sales staff.
  • Work with the underwriting staff in ordering all necessary documents needed for the loan file.
  • Provide backup for the centralized disclosure team when needed by preparing initial and re- disclosures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all loan products that Northpointe offers and the necessary documents required for each loan program.
  • Meet established standards and guidelines with regard to compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, customer service, and overall performance.
  • Maintain customer confidence by providing ongoing quality service and keeping all files and information confidential.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with internal policies and procedures. Understand and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations affecting our institution.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of customer service experience preferred.
  • At least one year mortgage processing experience required.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of mortgage documents.
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, any other mortgage/banking software, etc.).
  • Professional demeanor and interaction with all customers (internal and external).
  • Effective interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision while obtaining satisfactory results.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail while handling a high volume of work with multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and customers, work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Effective project management skills and the ability to proactively problem solve.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
