Job Description:

Business Intelligence (MicroStrategy) Developer responsible for architecting, engineering, designing, developing and supporting reporting and analytics solutions for Data & Automation Services team. Responsibilities include working with product owners, Data Architects and Technical leads to learn and understand business requirements and recommending efficient design and developing reporting solutions. Resource is Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology/Analytical solutions across varying stake holders including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and apply business concepts to Business Intelligence is mandatory. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of IT experience.

Required Skills

  • Experience in MicroStrategy Architect & Schema development and Report Development experience utilizing complex metrics, Dossier, In-memory cubes.
  • Must have hands-on experience in creating both application and schema objects in MicroStrategy.
  • Experienced with SQL development, developing SQL views and developing FACTs for metrics
  • Experience on Relational Database Management Systems using Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts and their application in a MicroStrategy reporting environment.
  • Experience supporting reporting solutions throughout the full development lifecycle (end to end), from requirements gathering, reporting design, report build out, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Understanding of reporting concepts including historical reporting / snapshot tables, trending, aggregation, transformations, and dash boarding best practices.
  • Ability to work against mid-level design documentation, take it to a low-level design, and deliver a solution that meets the success criteria
  • Knowledge of packaging and promotion practices for maintaining code in development, test, and production

Desired Skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of IT Service Management/ITIL processes and tools
  • Data Virtualization using Starburst Trino platform Experience with Horizon
