Job Overview - 30374

  • This is a remote position at this time but must be within driving distance to Charlotte NC for potential required days in office in the future.
The primary focus of this role is financial and accounting services in support of the Corporate Treasury and Global Principal Investments organizations, including month-end close activities, accounting analysis, journal entry preparation, external financial reporting for various regulatory agencies, preparation of management reports, data quality controls and process improvement initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities In The Role May Include
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in the system of record related to the private equity funds portfolio, which includes analysis of financial statements to determine quarterly fair value adjustments, as well as the maintenance and organization of supporting documentation
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in the system of record for transactional activities and perform close activities related to other equity investments, as needed
  • Prepare manual journal entries, as needed, in support of all treasury products to facilitate adjustments/manual overlays to system generated entries
  • Gather, prepare, analyze and submit reportable data and be responsible for data quality controls for certain regulatory/SEC reporting submissions
  • Maintain data quality controls for equity investments system of record
  • Monitor changes to certain external reporting requirements and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Perform other month-end close activities, including reconciliations and monthly/quarterly management reporting
  • Help drive process improvements and streamline processes, including the use of emerging technology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (degree in Finance considered with strong accounting experience)
  • 4 plus years of experience
  • General knowledge of GAAP, with the ability to understand and interpret standards
  • Some exposure to financial services industry
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong level of comfort with technology; ability to adapt quickly to new systems
  • Ability to grasp complex accounting concepts
Preferred Skills Include
  • Experience with financial instruments (e.g, derivatives, fixed-income securities, equity investments
  • CPA
  • Public accounting experience
