Summary:


The SAP FICO Business Analyst will provide business analysis, solutions, design, configuration; and production support to the CTE organization. This role will partner with the CTE finance and accounting organization to create and implement value added solutions that will enable the growth and long-term success of CTE.

The ideal candidate will provide a strong mix of standard accounting (GAAP) knowledge, functional knowledge of SAP financial modules, best practices, and technical knowledge of underlying SAP S/4HANA tables, configuration, and processes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Provide functional SAP expertise for all financial and controlling related functionality along with integration to procurement, sales, and materials management
  • Provide Support to SAP FICO and environment for both functional and technical issues
  • Create functional specifications in support of new functionality and enhancements
  • Design new SAP WRICEFS to improve business processes and improve user experience
  • Lead small to medium projects with limited supervision through the software development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support)
  • Provide support to financial applications - i.e. Vertex, Concur, OpenText, IBM Planning Analytics (financial reporting application)
  • Communication - Communicate effectively and appropriately with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Continuous Improvement/Cost Out - Be the IT representative to finance/accounting for continuous improvement projects.
  • Incident and Problem Management - Ensure excellence in problem and incident management, including root cause analysis.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Accounting required, MBA or CPA preferred
  • 5 years' experience in implementing, supporting SAP FICO, with ability to perform configuration
  • Strong business process knowledge of GL/AP/AR/AA and support integration with sales and procurement
  • Business experience in an accounting or finance function preferred
  • Prior experience in SAP S/4HANA preferred
  • Prior experience with Vertex and OpenText a plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required
  • Prior consulting experience a plus
