Title: Sr. Commercial Lines Account Manager (Insurance)

Location: Charlotte, NC (REMOTE capabilities)

Salary: Compensation will depend upon experience; however, client offers a very competitive base salary, bonus, and excellent benefits!

Our client, a top national insurance broker has a need for a Sr. Commercial Lines Account Manager. This position is open due to growth as their Commercial division has been aggressively growing over the past 18 months. Position will be based in their Charlotte, NC office, HOWEVER they will be open to either a Hybrid schedule (2 days in the office / 3 days home) or possibly FULLY REMOTE. Responsibilities:

  • Market and follow up on complete submissions including application, loss analysis, and other pertinent information to all eligible and appropriate carriers for new and renewal business.
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens strong working relationships with clients, underwriters and carrier representatives
  • Fields and responds promptly to inquiries from clients, carriers, producers, attorneys and accountants
  • Assumes ownership of customers concerns and feedback until the resolution is successfully accomplished
  • Manages all new and renewal activities from start through close
  • Respond to underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages and rating.
  • Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items.

  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in processing within the agency management system.
  • Process client requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide direction to clients in submitting claims reports, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
  • Direct processing work to assistants.
  • Other projects or duties, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must hold state Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
  • High School Graduate, College degree preferred.
