Junior Project Manager

Description:

Our client - a global leader in publishing and education/learning solutions - seeks a hands-on junior project manager to aid in partnering the VP of Platform Solutions' team and other key business and technology areas to drive a effort that focuses on programs and projects that range from elevating products and services tied to structured content, assessments and metadata and interactive testing to mergers and acquisitions of other learning and media/publishing entities. This particular role will support the M&A (mergers and acquisitions) area of this division, aligned to senior program managers, managers, and VP who lead the efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in project management efforts that relate to changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance.

2. Assist in the recording of detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.

3. Assist in the measurement of project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
