Job description

Provide expert content and professional leadership on complex analytics and data science projects in the Health Utilization Management business area for Evernorth Enterprise Services, Inc. Evaluate clinical health outcomes, utilize statistical modeling techniques (e.g. multivariate regression, propensity score matching, coarsened exact matching), and employ health service research techniques. Analyze results and present analytics in a consumable method using overview, major takeaways, major questions, and next steps. Analyze and interpret trends or patterns in data sets through descriptive and multivariate statistics. Understand how the analytics affect the broader business and bridge the gap between analytics/data science and stakeholders. Interface across multiple business areas, including, but not limited to clinical, pricing, reporting, product development, operations, and marketing departments as needed. Present results and recommendations to non-technical business partners and stakeholders to drive the decision-making process. Allows for remote work in 2021 as dictated by circumstances, but position is considered an on-site role.
Occasional domestic travel up to 15% for team meetings and training is required.
Hiring requirements: drug screen / background check
Requires a Masters degree in any engineering or quantitative discipline, and 2 years of post-Bachelor's degree experience in statistics (or a Bachelors degree and 5 years of progressively responsible experience). Qualifying experience must have included: developing innovative analytical approaches; statistical methods; predictive modeling; data mining; claims data; communicating effectively with management; SAS; and SQL.
