The most difficult part for ethical financial advisors entering the industry these days is that every firm one applies to offers either marketing support and drastically restricts which products one can sell, OR as an independent agent, one may access any product, but, in turn, gets no marketing support.

HealthMarkets, by contrast, seems to have the best compromise between the worlds of captive and independent agents. More details will be discussed if you are interested.

I am seeking a few people who are interested in helping protect people by means of life, health, hospital confinement, long-term care (LTC), critical illness, dental, vision, and other insurance. HealthMarkets has an impressive array of marketing tools at its disposal. However, everyone sets his/her own schedule, so the challenge is staying focused and motivated, week after week.

I'm an agent who started with HealthMarkets in Raleigh a few weeks ago. I have family in the business, but not here in Raleigh, and I myself have little experience, which puts me in a unique position experience-wise. I would like someone to run some appointments with, do some "walk-and-talks" with (will be discussed in person if interested), and learn with, in order to generally keep each other motivated and involved in growing our respective books of business.

Job duties include:

- Study for / earn North Carolina Life and Health Licenses (if not already obtained)

- Develop marketing plan for establishing yourself in your community as a trusted source of insurance advice

- Carry out this marketing plan

- Periodically review clients' financial profiles to see if their insurance needs have changed

Prerequisites:

- Experience in the Finance industry is helpful, but not necessary

- Your North Carolina Life and Health Insurance Licenses are not necessary, but helpful as well.

- Motivation to work 50+ hours a week and earn money (you can, however, set your own schedule)
