Job description

Summary of Position:
The Mortgage Closing Supervisor oversees the closing team in the review, preparation and distribution of the closing documents and authorization to complete the closing, and the mortgage deficiency team to clear post-closing deficiencies. This is a Direct Hire.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and oversight to the Mortgage Closing team and Mortgage Deficiency Specialist.
  • Manage daily workflow of closing team to ensure that required closing documents are issued accurately and timely.
  • Manage daily workflow of Mortgage Deficiency Specialist to ensure that conditions/exceptions are cleared in a timely manner.
  • Establish and meet timely service levels for the review and funding of the mortgage loan.
  • Responds to quality control reviews, pre-purchase closing deficiencies and any required management reviews.
  • Conducts new and ongoing training for closers, leads staff meetings to communicate industry and company changes in order to maintain consistency and comprehension among Closers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as staff hiring, training, policy implementation and procedures development.

Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):

* An Associates degree in Business; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Three or more years of supervisory experience in the mortgage industry, preferably closing .

* Possess a thorough understanding of applicable banking and mortgage laws and regulations.

* Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast paced environment and to work overtime as loan volume dictates.

* Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business environment.

* Proficiency with Mortgage-related Software, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

* Excellent customer service skills, as well as, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
