Job Title: Planner/Estimator

Job Summary:

EMCOR Government is seeking a talented Planner/Estimator to support facilities maintenance and operations support services contract in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Estimate Task Orders
• Attend Government meetings
• Perform cost comparisons for repair vs. replacement
• Prepare plans and estimates for specific Task Orders
• Plan, estimate and schedule all types of work requests including complex electrical, mechanical, control systems and structural work.
• Prepare complete plans (eg. existing and proposed) and method of execution for all work requests
• Use Government - approved software commonly used in the building and/or construction industry for Task Order estimating & scheduling purposes
• Provide an itemized, detailed estimate for evaluation.
• Prepare estimates using RS Means® - or equivalent - cost estimating software that is widely recognized within the facilities maintenance and construction industry to prepare estimates

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in planning and estimating structural, electrical and mechanical projects in a large or multiple facilities with highly complex mechanical, electrical and structural requirements
• Must have project management experience
• Must be skilled in using RS Means cost estimating software, or other "equal" cost estimating software that is widely recognized within the facilities maintenance and construction industries.
• Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate with various levels within the organization
• Extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements
• Ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project a plus
