Due to our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we are on the search for a dynamic Development Manager to join our team.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

As a Development Manager at Enclave, you would be responsible for monitoring and managing the life cycle of various development projects, from concept to closeout. The Development Manager is a strategic team member throughout the site selection, acquisition, development, and construction process.

* Manage the communication and coordination of consultant teams, including land planners, engineers, architects, utility companies, etc.
* Drive the development process by updating schedules, budgets, timelines, financial information, projections, and closings
* Ensure the completion of tasks within acceptable time frames through the preparation, review and management of schedules
* Help prepare for presentation of development plans to city councils/officials and provide reports and needed data to drive entitlement and permit requests
* Conduct regular status checks to monitor ongoing progress and adherence to plans and schedules
* Partner with the general contractor as necessary to address issues as they arise and ensure the project schedule is maintained
* Receive and disseminate critical information to stakeholders impacted by schedule changes, city/code issues, budget variances, etc.
* Apply analytical skills to evaluate the economic and financial performance of commercial real estate projects, particularly retail, industrial, office, and multifamily
* Assist with the procurement of development partners by thoroughly reviewing, vetting, and coordinating contracts
* Assist with the project entitlement process, managing applications, plats, and permitting through coordination of 3rd party partners, city staff, and the Enclave team
* Manage the Development Checklist and Workflow process which includes land due diligence, risk analysis, feasibility analysis, entitlements, design and construction contracts, easement and covenant review, city requirements, scheduling, and overall budget tracking
* Conduct cursory market analysis as well as feasibility and financial analysis of potential development and value-add investments
* Other responsibilities as assigned

The skills and knowledge we look for in Development Manager candidates are:

* 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field, preferred
* 5+ years experience in architecture, civil site design, construction, city planning, development, or other related roles, preferred
* Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, and property managers to execute an overall vision, strategy and plan for development/redevelopment of commercial real estate
* Must be willing to travel (day trips) to various job sites and potential site locations within the upper midwest
* Superior verbal and written communication skills, with ability to read and understand architectural drawings
* Well organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects in different stages of development
* Ability to facilitate strong working relationships and work with a diverse set of stakeholders at a high level
