The Williston Clinics, located in the Craven-Hagan building are part of CHI St. Alexius Health Williston. Responsibilities

This poistion is eligible for up to a $7500 sign on bonus

* Assesses patient education needs and provides teaching for patients (and families/care givers) with diabetes
* Provides initial and follow-up consultations (as needed) for patients requiring education related to insulin administration and blood glucose testing
* Teaches diabetes disease process and treatment including diet, medication action, and complication prevention
* Assesses patients on insulin pumps and educates as needed; reviews and documents pump settings, and troubleshoots pump functions if needed
* Initiates referrals for outpatient diabetes education services
* Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
* Establishes and maintains quality control/assurance systems as appropriate and maintains compliance with requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies
* Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas of the department
* Utilizes effective intervention techniques and project management tools to successfully access and plan multiple projects simultaneously. #missioncritical

Qualifications

* Registration by the State of North Dakota Board of Nursing
* Certification for Diabetes Education from North Dakota Diabetes Prevention & Coalition Program
* Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
* Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a RN
