DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOUCES - LUKJAN METAL PRODUCTS

Exciting opportunity to lead the HR function in a family owned and operated business that has been manufacturing high quality sheet metal pipe, duct, and fittings for the wholesale HVAC industry since February 1964. Headquartered in Conneaut, OH, Lukjan Metal Products has production facilities located in Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. These locations have positioned Lukjan Metal Products as one of the leading manufacturers of prefabricated sheet metal fittings in the United States.

What are we looking for in the next Director of Human Resources?

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related concentration.
• 10+ years of increasing experience and responsibility in Human Resources, at least a portion of which was in a manufacturing setting. Prior experience effectively leading a multi-site HR team is a distinct advantage.
• Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow and Time and Attendance.
• Experience leading benefits strategy and implementation.
• Effective relationship-building skills.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an effective and efficient manner is key. Opportunity to work remotely 50+% of the time is available.
• Experience in a unionized environment is preferred as one site is unionized.
• Travel up to 20%.
• OSHA experience is a distinct advantage.

How you will make an impact:

The Director of Human Resources will provide hands-on leadership to an HR team that includes both HR professionals and HR administrators. This position has a direct impact on the full employment cycle at the facility including recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and performance management. The Director of Human Resources leads the way in streamlining human resources practices and recruiting and motivating the best talent by:

• Leading the company's people strategies, programs, and practices to align with our vision, mission and values.
• Working closely with, and actively consults with owners and senior leadership team on matters pertaining to staffing, compensation, benefits, and development.
• Providing effective, hands-on leadership to the HR team. Directs, coordinates, and drives all

HR activities and functions while ensuring proper staffing, training and organization of the function.

• Ensuring human resources policies and practices promote a positive working environment, are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, are well communicated and consistently applied across the organization.

• Developing recruitment strategies to support near and long-term growth plans.
• Training staff on human resource policies and HR compliance issues.
• Providing coaching and team building to support organization's needs.
• Driving the benefits strategy for the company. Developing and implementing annual enrollment plan for all sites.

Negotiating collective bargaining agreement for one site and managing any grievances or other issues that arise under that agreement.

Pay: $74,154.00 - $82,827.00 per year
