Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Project Coordinator to join our growing team in Beavercreek, Ohio. You will support our US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) customers with the business, technical and financial execution of the exciting Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III Program. The DPA Title III Program provides broad statutory authority to ensure the timely availability of essential domestic industrial resources to support national defense and homeland security requirements through the use of highly tailored economic incentives. The program is executed through the careful selection and implementation of projects designed to mitigate critical shortfalls in domestic defense industries.

You will function as a Principal Project Coordinator on a day-to-day basis, helping to manage an extensive portfolio of 100+ technology commercialization projects that are executed in partnership with manufacturers of high-technology items essential to national defense. Your primary work location will be on base at Wright-Patterson AFB OH. You will also have a secondary work location at Northrop Grumman in Beavercreek, OH.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain excellent rapport with the DPA Title III community: AFRL project managers, engineers, scientists, subject matter experts, and industry contractor partners
Detailed reporting: efficiently and accurately coordinate all of the necessary information and reporting requirements across a portfolio of 100+ projects. There are numerous reports that are prepared on a continual basis in the DPA Title III Executive Agent Program Office (EAPO), to include: Monthly Status Reports, Quarterly Status Reports, Pre-Award status charts tracked monthly, Financial Management reports, and other extensive Semi-Annual reports
Financial management: Assist Government Financial Managers with portfolio financial performance tracking, analysis and reporting
Status tracking: Create and maintain numerous status update tracking spreadsheets to provide detailed portfolio analysis upon request
Action Officer: Serve as the conduit of information for any and all ad hoc taskings that come into the DPA Title III EAPO. Assist with capture of data required to successful address these taskings. In 2021, these taskings have become more frequent and grown more complex in step with the demands of the 100+ project portfolio
File management expertise: Function as a critical resource for ensuring file management and information continuity that is depended upon by the DPA Title III EAPO for internal reviews and audits
Processes and procedures: Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and followed by all of the personnel in the DPA Title III EAPO. This is vital to ensure uniformity in reporting and maintenance of critical files for audit purposes
Audit Support: Provide internal and external Audit support and assist with associated documentation
Coordination: Ensure smooth and seamless information coordination with AFRL program managers, project engineers, scientists, subject matter experts, and industry contractor partners.
Support all aspects of Title III portfolio development. Tasks that may be required include: requirements definition, metrics development, financial management analysis, and general project portfolio guidance and execution
Process improvement: collaborate and recommend innovative solutions and corrective actions where needed
Work independently on fairly complex tasks, and participate in defining approaches and determining objectives for assigned work. Plan, schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing work objectives
Interface with SAP (or equivalent) systems and prepare detailed cost, schedule, and technical performance reports for department review, as required
Collaborate frequently with technical personnel and demonstrate the willingness to learn about diverse technologies areas and terminology
Minimal travel anticipated (up to 10%)

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant Project Management or Business Analyst work experience
Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with database applications
Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at Wright-Patterson AFB OH (primary duty location)
Ability to obtain/maintain access to our Beavercreek, OH location (secondary duty location)
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Business degree a plus. MBA in process considered
Financial Management experience desired
6 or more years of work experience in either manufacturing industry or with the Department of Defense (DoD) procurement community
Familiarity and experience with DoD acquisition processes and Science & Technology planning processes

What You'll Get to Do:

Perform a variety of routine preventative/corrective maintenance operations on various electro-mechanical test equipment utilizing approved documentation
Routinely use hazardous material in the conduct of maintenance operations
Conduct routine Ordnance Handling Evolutions within the facility using specific designed equipment
Use common electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and logic analyzers to troubleshoot equipment failures
Submit request to government for publication corrections or deviations from publications
Perform all work in a strict procedural compliant manner.

Salary Range: 76200 - 114400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
