Summary:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the strategic partner to assigned business units focusing on the areas of Employee/Labor Relations, Performance Management, Workforce Development, etc. This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business knowledge about the business unit's current state, future objectives, culture, and alignment to the organizational goals. Ensures employees and managers receive proper guidance and counsel regarding fair and consistent treatment of employees as well as encourage and facilitate open communication to resolve employee issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:

a. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or the equivalent in training and experience

2. Experience & Training Required:

a. Three (3) years increasingly responsible professional Human Resources experience; experience in employee relations preferred

b. Experience in a multi-facility health care setting preferred, which includes non-union and union environments

c. Experience outside of health care and in a for-profit setting would also be helpful

c. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

d. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

e. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

f. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

g. Strong analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.

h. Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately to all level of employees

i. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

4. Level of Physical Demands:

a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
