Job description

General Purpose of the Position:
The HRBP position provides leadership and expertise for the full scope of field Human Resource and Talent Management functions including all aspects of recruitment, staffing, employee engagement, coaching and development, policy administration, performance management, and employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and drive compliance with HR policy and procedure.

  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning and recruiting solutions to support the achievement of strategic operational goals/deliver the TD business and people development goals.

  • Partners with management to drive and deliver company initiatives regarding talent assessment, performance management and employee development.

  • Identify training and development needs for business units and functional leadership teams. Assist in the identification, creation and implementation of training modules to support company initiatives; lead training sessions where appropriate.

  • Participate in evaluation of and monitor success of training programs. Provide follow up to ensure training objectives are met.

  • Partner with the Corporate Staffing Team and functional leadership team to identify staffing solutions to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

  • Provide excellent customer service; have outstanding interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.

  • Prepare deliverables and reports accurately within a deadline driven environment.

  • Effectively manage multiple projects and several tasks simultaneously.


Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources or equivalent. HR certification is preferred.

  • A minimum of six years' experience as an HR generalist required.

  • 3-5 years generalist experience (or HRBP/HRM)

  • Able to work remotely and travel up to 75% of the time (3-4 days in stores)

  • Demonstrate understanding of how HR supports the business

  • Demonstrate building of partnerships, conflict resolution, and managing expectations/perceptions of others
    • How do you handle situations and overcome objections in a matrixed environment?

  • Employee Relations experience

  • Performance Management experience

  • Demonstrate an understanding of workforce engagement
