We are seeking a dedicated Retail Analyst who will be responsible for supporting a designated retail team(s) to make discernible differences across the operations with accurate and insightful data analysis. Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with software tools to create, edit, and analyze complex reports, graphs, and presentations. The successful candidate must be able to make sound decisions and take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information. Retail Analysts will independently take ownership of projects by effectively coordinating all the necessary resources, resolve complex, non-routine problems and issues where no precedent has been established or exists with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities:

Works closely with business partners to develop report specifications based on client needs. Utilizing various data systems, extracts raw data from various retailers. Consults with internal business partners or external clients to present data and recommendations to assist the client with business objectives.
Interprets results, analyzes datasets, and presents recommendations to business partners
Manages ad hoc projects based on the business partner or client requests.
Pro-actively develops and delivers presentations as required by the client or business partners
Provides detailed analysis for client reports. Ability to review data and make recommendations to Company and the client on retail strategy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA Degree is preferred; with 2+ years of experience in an analytical position
Strong analytical and research skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to make oral presentations and interact with all levels of professionals
Strong prioritization skills; ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and completing deadlines
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; specifically, Microsoft Excel

Position Summary

Support a designated retail team(s) to make discernible differences across the operations with accurate and insightful data analysis. Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with software tools to create, edit, and analyze complex reports, graphs, and presentations. Be able to make sound decisions and the ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information. Independently take ownership of projects to completion by effectively coordinating all the necessary resources. Resolve complex, non-routine problems and issues where no precedent has been established or exists with little or no supervision.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Utilizing various data systems, extracts raw data from reporting system and conducts in-depth analysis on customer product flow. Consults with internal business partners or external clients to present data and recommends actions to assist client with meeting business objectives.
Extracts data from third-party market research resources, integrates with internal data and conducts trend analysis. Interprets results and presents recommendations to business partner.
Works closely with business partners to develop report specifications based on client needs.
Manages ad hoc projects based on business partner or client requests.
Pro-actively develops and delivers presentations as required by client.
Provides detailed analysis for client reports. Ability to review data and make recommendations to Company and the client on retail strategy.

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred) MBA

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

2+ years of experience in an analytical position

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
