Come Grow with us! The Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Tower is looking for a talented Business Transient Sales Manager to join our team!

As a Business Transient Sales Manager, you will solicit new business and retain existing customers in the Business/Transient sales market. Previous sales experience with a hotel/hospitality background required.

Our Business Transient Sales Manager is someone who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry.

Responsibilities include:

Selling guest rooms and Marriott services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel and wholesale groups.

Managing current accounts to ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets.

Preparing and presenting effective proposals, presentations and maintaining well organized documentation and reports.

Utilization of Marriott technology systems and coordination of customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.

Participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings.

Work as a team member with the sales and catering staff and with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

Requirements:
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

Refined verbal and written communication skills

A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel transient sales

Preferred knowledge of Marriott technology systems, must be proficient in excel

Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills

Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
