Job description

The HR Generalist implements and facilitates human resource processes across all locations. This position is responsible for taking ownership of the administrative support provided to the organization, including but not limited to record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the Payroll function for RHM Staffing Solutions.
  • Assists Regional Directors with interviewing, screening, and background check processes.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Drafts offer letters.
  • Coordinates and delivers orientation and onboarding process for new hires.
  • Administers the company's various health and welfare benefits programs; acts as a liaison between the employees and insurance providers ensuring effective use of the plans and positive employee relations.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Manages I-9 documentation process and maintains I-9 files.
  • Reconciles benefits statements.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Completes unemployment requests, and other requests for employment information, in a timely manner.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Investigates accidents and monitor Workers Comp Claims.
  • Administers FMLA and document through payroll system.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files and prepares new-employee files.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Monitors employment practices to assure they are conducted in accordance with government regulations and in a manner consistent with the best interests of RHM Real Estate.
  • Supports managers with disciplinary process.
  • Assists with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM-CP), preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Attendance is an imperative job function.
  • Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, rules and procedures of the company, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or writing) to employees.
