INSIDE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER
LOCATION:
Eastern Suburb of Cleveland, OH
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience.
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY:
The position reports to the Director of Account Management of a financially strong privately held $40MM Electrical /Electronic Manufacturing company who enjoys a leadership position in their industry, and a nearly unlimited industry growth potential. This position will be the primary resource and point of contact for existing customers with regards to ongoing technical / account support and development as well as coordinating internal resources for strategic planning, addressing quality issues and technical guidance. This position will also execute strategies to grow existing accounts where possible.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* PROGRAM/ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT Primary resource and point of contact for existing customers with regards to ongoing technical/ account support and development as well as coordinate internal resources for strategic planning, quality issues and technical guidance. Assist in the smooth transition of new accounts from the Business Development team to the Account Management team. _(50% of time will be spent in this area)_
* ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT Execute strategies to grow existing accounts where possible as well as provide sales forecasts. Process RFQs and maintain accurate costing on current programs. _(20% of time will be spent in this area)_
* NPI ACTIVITIES - Identify Customer needs, manage the development of the quotes and proposals for existing business to consistently meet sales growth objectives. Work with our Program Support Specialists to develop quotations, submit to customer, follow up with the customer, negotiate order/terms and assist with production launch through the NPI process to first production run. _(20% of time will be spent in this area)_
* QUALITY Point of contact to communicate customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions with the Quality team. Advocate for customers to direct the activities of Customer Care, Supplier and Product Quality which may impact the customer or pose a commercial risk. _(10% of time will be spent in this area)_
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE:
* Experience in a customer or supplier facing role
* Experience in a Manufacturing company
* Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications
* Capable of being a team player with shared responsibilities
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
* Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
* Strong business sense and industry expertise
* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
* Knowledge of industry requirements
* Ability to multi-task multiple projects at one time
* Outstanding communication skills, both orally and in writing
* Skilled in the use of standard business software and technology
* Ability to travel domestic and international as needed (average will be a few days per month for customer update meetings)
WOULD LIKE:
* BS degree in business administration or a related field
* Experience with an MRP system; SAP, Oracle, AS400 or other
* Quoting experience
* Knowledge of negotiating supply agreements/sales contracts
* Formal sales training
* Direct industry experience with electronics manufacturing services, supply chain management, or capital equipment sales.
