Job description

Position Summary

Under direction of one or more Legal Department lawyers, responsible for providing paralegal support for commercial contracting, real estate and entity management efforts.

Scope, Supervision & Interaction: Reports directly to the VP Law, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. Supports numerous lawyers throughout the Legal Department Does not currently have direct reports.

Responsibilities

Commercial Contracting: Support attorneys who draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts by providing general administrative, project and contract management support; Help build and maintain contract life-cycle management procedures, templates and systems; Act as a gatekeeper for questions from and help coordinate communication and training for Parker division contract coordinators; Perform primary review of non-disclosure agreements and other agreements in accordance with established guidelines; and Help organize and manage practice group meeting agendas, process simplification projects client training sessions, and contract reporting efforts.

Real Estate: Help real estate attorney with drafting, contract review, verification of data and coordination with Parker's Real Estate Department.

Entity Management: Assist attorneys and other paralegals with day-to-day management of domestic and international entities, including assisting with legal filings, drafting and managing of intercompany agreements, resolutions and other corporate documents; Manage execution of corporate documents; Helping to administer and maintain Parker's entity management database; and Assist in obtaining certified or apostilled documents.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Five or more years of relevant, progressive paralegal or equivalent experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proven ability to perform each essential functions with skill, efficiency and practicality. Proven ability to work independently on substantive legal matters and perform a variety of other tasks with minimal attorney supervision. Creative self-starter with ability to develop and implement innovative, flexible, balanced and practical solutions. Collaborative with others, able to work as part of a team to accomplish goals. Ability to work at Parker's Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland, OH
