The Product Owner - Finance/Accounting will be a member of the internal Finance team building, analyzing, implementing, maintaining, improving, upgrading, and maximizing the effectiveness of software to support the firm and our clients. Using an agile framework, the ideal candidate will work closely with Finance and Technology Services teammates as well as other team members from across the Firm to drive the innovative use and wide-spread adoption of technology solutions with an eye toward driving increased revenue, efficiency, and quality.

Locations:

We are open to this position being a hybrid mix of working from home and in one of our office locations

Primary locations: Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, OH

Secondary locations: Chicago, IL; Detroit or St. Clair Shores, MI; Milwaukee, WI; New York, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; or Hunt Valley, MD

Responsibilities:
Roles & Responsibilities:

Business product owner for technology solutions used and developed to support internal accounting, client lifecycle, and reporting

Work closely with the scrum team, write and refine stories with appropriate acceptance criteria, translate strategies to tasks, resolve issues and business roadblocks, and test results

Create and update system documentation

Create and update training materials, assist in user training and support

Extract and retrieve information and data sets to improve upon software

Nurture ideas and solutions to existing customer problems, strategize and present ideas to stakeholders

Manage and prioritize the backlog

Learn the market and customers' needs and anticipate future needs

Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects

Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals

Systems will include but are not limited to: Star, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Power BI as well as internally developed workflow solutions

Qualifications:
Requirements:

College degree in relevant field of study preferred (not required)

3+ years' experience with progression of duties

Comfortable working with and learning multiple software systems

Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Familiarity with Jira, Star, Salesforce, Power BI, SQL and/or NetSuite a plus

Experience with CPA firm, legal firm or other professional service firm preferred

Ability to manage processes and projects, and prioritize effectively

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Detail oriented and able to see larger picture

Experience with process creation, documentation, and management

Ability to work independently to manage tasks and deadlines; reliable

Ability to communicate with all levels within the firm clearly, professionally, and effectively including interaction with Partners and clients; teamwork skills essential

Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
