Position Description Job SummaryJob Summary:The Shipping Clerk will perform tasks associated with the shipment of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrialindustries. This position will perform tasks associated with domestic and international shipments of all products. A thorough understanding of domestic and international shipping and DOT regulations will be essential in performing these tasks. This position requires use of customer portals and shipping software. A lift truck certification will be necessary as well as the ability to be HAZMAT certified.1st Shift Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pmEssential Functions: Load and unload trucks of various sizes. Prepare daily outgoing products for domestic and international shipments. Arrange for delivery of product using shipping software and customer portals. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all outgoing shipments Order and maintain shipping supplies inventory Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments Provides additional backup support for packaging and receiving departmentsFollow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment. Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles. Follow work order instructions and perform part inspection for dimension and quality.
