The Assistant Director helps with the day-to-day and overall operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines while supporting our mission to enhance learning and development for each child. With guidance from the Director of Operations, this position ensures the best possible learning and care experience for the children in our programs. Depending on staffing ratios, the Assistant Director may need to function in any capacity within the facility, including filling in as interim director or a classroom teacher or performing administrative duties. A good understanding of childcare management and early education is essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

· INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS CHAMPION Communication is the key to any great relationship! This position must excel in providing timely, consistent and clear communication and positive support to our amazing teaching team.· Assists the Director of Operations in the operation and management all aspects of the school, including business management, campus environment, and marketing and communications· Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manages all resources effectively· Observes and oversees the adherence to all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children· Establishes and maintains respectful working relationships with state licensing authorities· Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director of Operations· Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times· Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills

· Must meet all requirements stipulated by ODJFS for this position· Highly professional and dependable. Reliable with strong character and values. Will serve as a role model for others and embody the servant leadership philosophy· Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Business or in related field.· Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality· Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress· Organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)· Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
