Job Summary
Vertiv has an opportunity for a motivated Business Analyst with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the Strategic Planning and Analysis (SP&A) Team of the Integrated Rack Solutions (IRS) Global Business Unit. The focus of this role will be to assist in the development of a business analysis and reporting framework that will enhance IRS Leadership's visibility to global business performance. The Business Analyst will provide analysis and decision support on product level sales and market data, IRS budget data, and operational data. The Business Analyst will also have an opportunity to participate in data management, the annual budget process, process design and implementation, and creation of presentations to effectively communicate IRS messaging.
Responsibilities :
- Establish and maintain IRS revenue reporting tools which integrate with business data tools to:
- Improve IRS Leadership's visibility into financial data through creation of Revenue reporting
- Consolidate relevant market data for ease of access for Leadership
- Provide ad hoc reporting to support business needs
- Collect, organize, and consolidate multiple data points to deliver fresh insights and recommendations by way of IRS Management Reporting
- Identify trends in data for deeper dive with subject matter experts.
- Proactively monitor data quality and integrity and contribute to the process of data governance to ensure confidence in data.
- Support annual SG&A expense and Capex budget process through collection and consolidation of budget requests.
- Contribute to development of new tools to deliver accurate and timely IRS GBU SG&A expense and Capex forecasts on a monthly basis.
- Create PowerPoint presentations utilizing visuals to communicate clear stories to stakeholders.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 1-3 years' experience in a related role
- Expert level MS Excel and PowerPoint user desired; strong knowledge of key message and data visualization techniques
- Experience with Power BI preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems; excellent teamwork skills
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all organization levels.
- Organizational and prioritization skills - ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to identify, focus on, and support daily tasks with supervision
- Motivated, self-starter who readily identifies opportunities for improvement
