This position must reside in Baltimore, MD or Columbia, MD

The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for leading other Regional Operations Directors (ROD) within the division and may support their own region of restaurants as well. Position is responsible for supporting and ensuring that all restaurants operate within Red Robin standards, execute existing systems, ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, while meeting/exceeding sales and profitability objectives. The DO is accountable for training, coaching and mentoring managers and RODs in all areas of the business and ensuring regions maximize sales and profit through local marketing, execution of S2Es, NPS and retention.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the oversight of implementation and deployment of new systems and processes for regions
Responsible for the selection, development and performance of RODs and defined managers
Evaluate restaurant operations, coordinate visits with RODs and partner to conduct S2E visits
Accountable for meeting/exceeding sales, traffic, NPS, retention and profit goals for assigned regions
Maintains effective communication with RODs and defined managers regarding the quality of their operations
Measures and provides counsel on improving operational performance
Acts as a liaison between the field (Team Members/Guests), the Home Office and any other appropriate support departments
Leads the organization of professional Burger Meetings for operations and continued leadership development
Engage with VPO team and peer group to ensure operations needs and concerns are being addressed.
Budget and cost control responsibility for regions
Responsible for developing local store marketing strategies for assigned regions
Other duties and projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Five years' experience working in a full service, multi-unit environment
Strong leadership and development skills
Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills
Ability to positively influence and manage through others
Self-motivated individual with the ability to solve complex problems
Proven track record and success managing multiple restaurants
Combination of both front of the house and heart of the house management experience
Proven track record in successfully training and developing people
Experience with Kitchen thru-put (efficiency) processes in a multi-unit environment
Experience and proven track record in managing a budget, cost controls to increase revenue and profitability
Ability to work well and partner with others in a team oriented environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Must be able to travel
