Description:

The HR & Payroll Specialist performs a variety of administrative tasks and processes payroll in support of human resources and finance. The role uses attention to detail in every matter, enjoys interacting and serving employees and operates with complete discretion and confidentiality.

Preferred Candidates will live in the Columbus area and be able to work a hybrid office/WFH schedule.

. Requirements:
  • Sufficient experience to successfully perform the duties of processing payroll
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (Paylocity preferred) and benefits databases
  • Ability to become knowledgeable and assist in company hiring practices, employee benefits, enrollment requirements, training, and company culture events
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize, and problem-solve to implement alternate solutions to challenges
  • Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Trustworthy, with ability to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with frequent interruptions
  • Skilled with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Mathematical skills including ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to situations
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Positive willingness to commit passion and energy to getting the job done
