Job description

The HR Coordinator at Mount Carmel Behavioral Health will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of numerous HR initiatives and programs. Mount Carmel Behavioral Health, a joint partnership between Mount Carmel Health Systems and Acadia Healthcare, is an 80-bed acute treatment center for adult men and women who have been experiencing a wide range of mental or behavioral health challenges. The HR Coordinator will serve as a support strategic partner in a challenging dynamic and rewarding position that allows for opportunities on knowledge growth/development and advancement.

Functions Include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for a variety of cross-functional areas and interact directly with corporate employees with respect to planning, problem resolution, process improvement and reporting.
  • Coordinate new hire and benefits orientation, employee training programs, hiring support, job analysis and/or routine employee relations.
  • Act as first point of contact with employees and supervisors on HR-related inquiries.
  • Apply judgement and discretion to HR issues/concerns and direct any complex issues to HR Director.
  • Responsible for the selection and interviews for positions within the facility including selection criteria.
  • Enter, update and maintain employee data in Ultipro, including new employees, terminations, employee record changes and ensures confidential handling of sensitive information.
  • Interpret and communicate routine organizational policies, procedures and programs.
  • Evaluate and apply information to provide advice to employees and management staff on Human Resources practices, policies and expectations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration or related field required.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience in human resources required, healthcare setting preferred.
