Job description
Title: Human Resources Manager
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Department: Human Resources
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
Location: Headquarter office located in Gahanna, Ohio
What you will accomplish:
As a Human Resources Manager, you will demonstrate and lead the company's values. You are an effective leader with a strong decision-making ability and are self-motivated with the skills to inspire and motivate team members. The desired candidate will be able to build and maintain a positive and productive relationship with employees across all areas of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
* Direct the development and administration of human resources policies and practices in accordance with company objectives and state and federal legal requirements
* Develop and manage the performance management process including a system for communicating information to management
* Advise and assist with employee performance issues, counseling, warnings, action plans and development plans
* Investigate any employee concerns in a timely manner and determine appropriate next steps
* Direct the development and administration of employee engagement strategies
* Ensure that all state and federally mandated trainings are up to date, implemented and completed
* Review and analyze wage and salary reports and data to establish competitive compensation plans
* Review and analyze legislation across multiple states and jurisdictions and make recommendations for necessary changes
* Partner with the Executive Leadership team to create and implement the strategic framework for the business
* Oversee the development, management, and execution of recruiting and retention strategies in partnership with the Executive Leadership team
* Oversee the development, management and execution of training strategies including onboarding policies
* Oversee the day-to-day administrative duties

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related field
* Thorough understanding of HR principles and practices
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Good judgement and the ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner
* Ability to work across all levels of management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
