Toole Design Group in Columbus, OH is looking to hire an experienced and talented full-time Human Resources Generalist. A Day in the Life of a Human Resources Generalist

Your day may start at home or in our office, located a short walk from transit. Your focus is on fostering a work environment where employees can ask questions, get help, and feel supported. You will support hiring managers in full cycle recruiting, walking them through the hiring process to help them follow best practices in interviewing and recruiting. You'll maintain our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure candidates receive prompt and courteous updates. You will participate in onboarding new team members and assisting them with benefits, the review process, and engagement. You will lead or assist with compliance projects including benefits eligibility, employment law posters, and family leave. You will have the opportunity, if desired, to assist with or lead in DEI initiatives. You would be working with a great group of individuals who are passionate about the work and the communities that we serve. Qualifications of a Human Resources Generalist:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources; education and interest considered in lieu of formal experience
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Razor-like attention to detail
  • Service-focused approach to HR
  • Experience and strong competence in maintaining confidential information
  • Experience with Benefits Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with HRIS or ATS systems; Paylocity and ApplicantPro preferred

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Experience or a working understanding of employment law
  • A passion for ensuring that equitable outcomes is integrated into your work
  • Experience with or a strong interest in conducting or assisting with compensation analyses
  • Strong communication skills, whether written, verbal, or graphically
  • Desire to build relationships, bring enthusiasm to exciting projects, and are detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule for a Human Resources Generalist:

This full-time position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2-3 days per week. Our Columbus office is a creative space, filled with talented people, making this office an ideal place to advance your career. The office is located in the heart of downtown with convenient access by foot, bike, and bus. The free Cbus shuttle stops just outside of our office and we are within a 2-minute walk to a half dozen COTA bus stops along with a CoGo Bike Station.
