Marketing Specialist

Job description

The Marketing Specialist supports strategic marketing plans and initiatives, maintains professional business relations with staff and outside contacts, and manages communications to members and outside the credit union.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist in crafting social media posts, blogs, mailers, in-house digital media, and other member communications
* Represent the credit union at various community events throughout the year
* Assist with the oversight of and updates to our website
* Track marketing promotional supplies and order as needed as well as prepare supplies and materials for various events
* Assist in the development and creation of various advertisements, flyers, brochures, etc. and deliver to staff
* Make membership development presentations to prospective schools, members, and businesses when needed
* Maintains a thorough knowledge of all the products and services offered. Also, responsible to remain abreast of current sales & product promotions, and specific mailings and member communications
* Establishes and implements effective communication with outside contacts
* Ensures requests and questions are promptly, appropriately, and courteously resolved
* Collaborate with ideas and execution of sales promotions and outside events for more name recognition of EFCU
* Completes reports, social media posts, and records promptly and accurately

Requirements

* Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent, or prior Marketing experience preferred
* Ad design or social media experience preferred
* Basic knowledge of credit union loan products, services, policies and procedures preferred
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Familiarity with web design a plus
