Job Summary

We are seeking a tech savvy construction leader who is able to lead, manage, and coordinate a team of independent contractors, subs and various vendors. We need a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced construction manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. With a typical pipeline of 100 homes being remodeled each year, we are willing to invest in the right person.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the reconstruction of homes from design to coordination of schedules, inspections during various construction phases, monitoring permits, and daily oversight of subcontractors
  • Develop project schedules, plan materials, and purchase orders, ensuring work is within project scope
  • Responsible for obtaining general contractor estimates and bids, performing project buyouts, and managing contractors' progress against plan
  • Schedule pre-construction site visits of all jobs that are under construction
  • Oversee the construction schedule, budget and ensure the project is completed within the deadline and budget
  • Responsible for creating scopes of work, and negotiating budgets
  • Work hand in hand with internal construction coordinator and management
  • Coordinating short term rental rehab and staging

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management or related field (preferred); or a combination of experience and education
  • 2-6 years experience in construction/building renovation
  • Must have rehab experience with margins, level of GC and timelines
  • Thorough knowledge of general construction with a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • Must be computer literate in Excel (or spreadsheet software), Word, Windows (creating folders, uploading documents)
  • Familiarity with Dropbox is desirable
  • Strong customer service background and skills in the home building industry
  • Knowledge of construction practices and labor costs in construction, plus a good knowledge of the uses and costs of materials
  • Ability to multi-task, which requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and quality
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement-oriented mindset
  • Use independent judgment to analyze, trouble and have repairs completed
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
