Job description

Our client has several needs for Test Engineers in their Delaware location.

Responsibilities: Manage the equipment, tooling, and techniques for all electrical tests focusing on achieving the electrical functionality requirements of a product to obtain the total Customer satisfaction.
Insure test and inspection procedures are in place and they are followed.
Develop and implement new processes to improve yield results. Not affecting electrical test requirements or assembly process cycle time.
Develop projects or programs to maintain or to improve product's electrical operation testing process.
Responsible for managing the test and inspection equipment. Maintain a log of each area.
Maintain or improve manufacturing efficiencies through the best utilization of resources and equipment.
Insure that equipment is in good condition to perform the tests.
Manage and update all test documents and files (test guides, reports, forms, quality alerts) that guarantee product's electrical requirements.
Report inspection and test results.
Analyze failures to determine root causes.
Provide daily feedback to manufacturing areas on test failures.
Provide any assistance solving electrical problems on equipment or manufacturing line.
Supervise daily testing activities and ensure proper training and cross training for test technicians and test operators.
Provide training, coaching and assistance to Test Technicians for the right use of equipment and understanding of processes.
Developing of Technician Certification programs.
Implementation of the safety devices for all the Electrical testing in the entire plant.
Work with the Electrical Design Engineers on Electrical failures and improve the Test limits by using statistical analysis. Provide assistance on product's failure analysis.
Define disposition to defective electrical products or materials.
Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
At minimum of three (3) years of high-level experience in manufacturing or engineering. Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Health care, Telecommunications, Fabrication, or Electrical Power Generation a plus.
Technical writing and comprehension skills
Self-starter. Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of hardware and software technologies.
Proficiency in use of MS Office Software
Ability to read electrical schematic required
Failure analysis and problem solving techniques.
Familiar with testing methods
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
