Job description

As a S&T Technical Service Associate, you will be the liaison between technical service and the sales force to assist customers with product use issues. This role will field customer issues, characterize the problem and then coordinate with a variety of departments: Marketing, Manufacturing, Tech Service, Sales, Application Specialists, and Product Development Chemists.
Key Responsibilities

• Receives notice of product non-conformance from Technical Service.
• Collects further information necessary to investigate.
• Hands-on testing of pertinent properties will be used to confirm the suspected issue.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action where necessary.
• In addition to the main duties and responsibilities, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of coating technologies and to assist others in the Technical Operations group with varying tasks according to workload and priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in chemistry or a technical field is preferred.
• Customer service or technical experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and respect by working closely with sales force to develop positive relationships.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with a strong sense of self-accomplishment, and strong problem solving skills.
• Strong digital literacy, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and technical report writing are preferred.
