Title: Loan and Electronic Documents Clerk - Full Time

Reports to: Vice President of Lending

Supervises: N/A

Primarily responsible for loan department clerical duties along with maintaining the electronic and document retention storage programs. This position is an entry level into the lending department and will train to process paid in full loans and assists the Underwriting Department as needed. Duties will also include maintaining compliant systems and procedures involving state and federal lending laws and internal policies including record retention standards. This position will include training and future expectations for supporting approvals and denials of loan requests. Duties will be trained and include:

1. Responsible for electronic storage of loan documents including paid in full loans.

2. Process titles and mortgages; placing and releasing liens as needed

3. All department filing as needed.

4. Cross train in the underwriting department.

5. Approve or deny loan applications.

6. Explain reasons for denial and, where possible, explore options for members when loans are denied.

7. Verify the accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications.

8. Complete loan documents and disburse loans approved by other loan officers.

9. Check indirect websites and process applications. Approve or deny loan applicants.

10. Manage system for ensuring scanning of all hard copy documents and files to the electronic documents storage program (eDoc).

11. Supports all Credit Union departments with document scanning as needed.

12. Learns and accurately updates the permanent and time expiring electronic storage server.

13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
