Process Safety Engineer () - Elyria, OH Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to lead process safety at the Elyria, Ohio site. In this role, you will report to the Technical Engineering Services (TES) Manager. You will provide technical leadership to ensure process hazards are identified, risks are assessed, and cost-effective solutions are implemented. You will exhibit strong consideration for safety, environmental stewardship, and training and development, as well as promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success:

Leveraging your educational background in chemical engineering as well as your professional experience within a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment, you will provide leadership to ensure the process safety requirements of BASF's Responsible Care program are met.

Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others will be a valued asset as you involve site employees in the process safety activities.

You will utilize your knowledge and experience of process safety to conduct process hazard assessments(PHA's) and execute appropriate and practical improvement measures. You will also ensure that adequate management of change practices are effectively implemented and sustained.

Using your experience with P&IDs, you will manage the site's P&IDs to ensure they are kept accurate and current.

With your experience in capital projects, you will lead process safety reviews of projects.
