Job Summary:

As a receptionist for Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. you will be responsible for providing efficient office support, teamwork, and outstanding customer service by greeting our patients and visitors while determining their needs and directing them accordingly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. in a positive manner.
Ensure patient satisfaction by patients, families, and visitors by greeting in a warm and welcoming way.
Answering phones and scheduling appointments.

Faxing, Filing, pulling, and prepping medical charts.
Receiving payment and issuing receipts and balancing out at the end of the day.

Perform the following functions on a rotational basis: check-in, check out, schedule and runner.

Ensure registration form is complete and up to date, updating patient accounts when needed.
Arrange front office equipment servicing.
Arrange for the destruction of PHI.
Performs other clerical administrative tasks as assigned.
Daily distribution of mail and courier deliveries, incoming faxes, and pull charts to attach any reports, results, or correspondence.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy when verifying patient information.
Work well independently, and in a team environment.
Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, and attend staff meetings
Assist other personnel in times of high volume.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Two to three years of experience in a medical office or healthcare facility preferred.
Must be customer-focused and possess strong oral communication and telephone skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the quality of work.

Basic computer skills

Other Considerations:

Requires extensive standing, bending, and lifting

The ability to work under stress is required.

Hours & Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm (Saturday rotation is required)
Must rotate late night hours with other front office personnel.

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Work Location: Open positions currently at the Beavercreek, Englewood, and Kettering locations.

Travel Required: Applicant must be willing to travel to all Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. offices when needed for coverage. Offices located in Beavercreek, Englewood, and Kettering.
