Job description

Kelly Scientific is seeking a **Production Lab Associate in Maumee, OH.**

**Temp to Hire**

**Shift:** Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

**Compensation:** $15- $17/hour DOE

**Responsibilities:**

+ Performs and documents all chemical reactions and purifications utilized to prepare intermediates or finished goods efficiently

+ Performs and documents lab maintenance duties to ensure quality and safe operation of lab equipment

+ Performs and documents methods development and equipment evaluation to improve laboratory performance

+ Collaborates with internal departments to efficiently release product, resolve problems, and support sales

+ Adapts to changing demands to satisfy external and internal customer needs

+ Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Usual office and research laboratory conditions suitable for organic chemistry research will be utilized. However, the nature of the work often requires the use of substances which are considered to be toxic or hazardous, chemicals known to be carcinogens, lachrymators or otherwise toxic. This requires that appropriate safety equipment will be provided and utilized at all times in the laboratory. These items include but are not limited to safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, and a respirator.

**Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. A Production Associate must be able to repetitively lift 4L solvent bottles and move various sizes of glassware up to 20L. There will routinely be instances where 20L solvent cans and 55-gallon drums must also be moved. For all repetitive actions and heavy items, appropriate equipment will be provided to minimize the physical demands on the employee.
