Lead Business Analyst, Data & Analytics

LOCATION

Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Flexible hybrid work arrangements ~25% in person presence

REPORTS TO

Manager, Data Analytics

POSITION SUMMARY

IT Business Analyst role within our enterprise Data & Analytics (DNA) team that will empower and enable the creation of data-driven insights across our organization. Will have responsibility to partner with various organizations across the enterprise to understand & develop their analytical needs. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of business processes and will quickly be able to uncover areas for improvement, document requirements, and assist the DNA team with developing and implementing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with business partners and DNA project management to understand, document, prioritize, and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Be a technical liaison to our business partners that can translate business requirements into technical expectations that align with our organizational approach to data analytics and data science.
  • Communicate results and expectations with business partners and team members. Keep the team apprised of progress and project management expectations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects using various project management methodologies.
  • Manage project budgets and resources allocations.
  • Develop project plans and test plans.
  • Be willing, and capable of, assisting with development work where necessary. This might include light development, data visualization / dashboarding, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain visibility to industry best practices and innovation in the domains of data analysis, data science, and project management.
  • Recommend solution alternatives and influence ideas and enhancements that will improve our ability to better serve our team members and customers.
  • Have strict standards and influence quality, governance, and internal controls.
  • Understand best practices around unit testing and automated testing.
  • Be actively aware of how bias or exclusion might occur on a team and help to facilitate a team environment where team members belong and feel safe.
  • Models' empathy with their interactions with customers and cross functional team members.


SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience required


Experience

  • 5+ years as Business Analyst / Project Manager / Developer
  • Previous project management experience utilizing project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc)
  • SQL
  • Data Visualization (Spotfire, Tableau, Domo, etc) a plus
  • Python / R a plus
  • ETL / ELT a plus
  • Data Management
